MyNomadDirectory, MND, or what I like to call “The MiNDy Project”, is a personal passion project. It’s self funded and developed with the aid of off-the-shelf wordpress tools, templates, and AI. I hope you find value here.

I’m Tim, an active nomad of just shy of five years. I’m honored to be travelling with our Chief Development Officer, Chaz. Sure, he’s a dog, but he’s still the only applicant and frankly, I’m rather fond of him.
As a nomad, I thought it should be easier to find better campsites, faster. There are so many great camping resources online, but the problem is that they often have varying inventories of campsites. I’d find myself spending more time than necessary researching spots, looking at satellite maps, reading user reviews, and then having to rinse/repeat with each of the major directories so I wouldn’t miss a better spot. Too many times, I missed the better spot.
This site is my attempt at making the process easier. It is a pet project that I work on as time, and money, allow. Geared towards those of us boondockers looking for free and cheap camping, this is my attempt to make our lives a little easier.

Explore the wild unknown with MND, a comprehensive camping directory featuring 10.5k dispersed sites in 11 western states.

The future of MND, it’s features, information, community input, and value are geared towards the needs of people like us, Nomads.

I’m thrilled that you’re here! This site is a labor of love, created with full-time and part-time Nomads in mind. My goal is to provide us with better situational awareness by highlighting available free and affordable campsites, sharing Nomad-related events, and offering a platform to promote our services, sell items, and showcase the work of our fellow artisans.
